Purpose of Donations

Donations support the Foundation's scholarship-focused mission in memory of Dr. Omoye "Oye" E. Imoisili.

Unless the Foundation accepts a specific designation in writing, donations may be applied where most needed to advance its scholarship-focused mission, subject to applicable law.

One-Time and Monthly Donations

When donation functionality is available, donors may be able to select a one-time donation or a recurring monthly donation.

Before confirming a donation, donors should review the selected amount, frequency, and contact information carefully.

By selecting a monthly donation, you authorize the approved third-party donation service to process the selected amount at the displayed frequency until the recurring donation is canceled.

Canceling a Monthly Donation

When monthly donation functionality is available, you may request cancellation before the next scheduled processing date by using any cancellation option provided with the transaction record or by contacting the Foundation.

A cancellation applies to future scheduled donations. It does not automatically refund donations that have already been processed.

Processing times and the effective cancellation date may depend on the third-party donation service.

Refund Requests

Refund requests involving an incorrect amount, duplicate transaction, unauthorized transaction, or other genuine error will be reviewed individually under applicable law and the donation service's requirements.

Please contact the Foundation promptly with the donor's name, transaction date, donation amount, and a brief explanation. Do not send passwords or complete financial account details.

Approval depends on the circumstances, available transaction records, applicable law, and the third-party donation service's requirements. A particular outcome or processing time cannot be guaranteed.

If a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned through the original donation method where practicable.

Transaction Problems

When donation functionality is available, a donation may be declined, delayed, or reversed by the third-party donation service or the donor's financial institution.

The Foundation is not responsible for interruption or delay caused solely by a third-party service, but it will make reasonable efforts to help identify the status of a Foundation donation when sufficient transaction details are provided.

Donation Acknowledgements and Tax Matters

When donation functionality is available, the Foundation may provide a transaction confirmation or donation acknowledgement.

This page does not represent that a donation is tax-deductible. Tax treatment depends on applicable law, the Foundation's confirmed status, and the donor's circumstances. Donors should consult a qualified tax adviser and retain appropriate transaction records.

A transaction confirmation by itself does not establish eligibility for a tax deduction.

Privacy and Security

Donation-related personal information is handled according to the Foundation's Privacy Policy.

Complete financial credentials should be submitted only through the approved donation interface when it becomes available, and not through ordinary website messages.

We may update this policy as donation functionality, Foundation operations, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
